I so love these opening lines of Eminem’s ‘I’m cleaning out my closet.’ It’s been years since I’ve listened to that song. First time was visiting Ben’s frat house circa 2003. The irony I felt seeing all these Greeks singing those opening lines. They have no clue, I thought.

I called the song up on Alexa while preparing dinner last night. Like a phone call from/to a friend you’d lost contact with.

Still a classic to me. Filled with irony, anger, vengeance, loss, alienation, and tears.
