Racist? Or just clueless?

I’m so pathetic. Been a longtime fan of ‘Brooks and Shields’ Fridays on PBS. Then Shields resigned and was replaced by Jonathan Capehart. So I’ve been watching the brooks/capehart segment for a few weeks and just realized it’s been the brooks/other guy segment in my mind. Which begs so many questions to myself, including:

Is it because Capehart is black and hence somewhat invisible to me?

Or is it that I just can’t shake the old name for the segment?

Wow. I’m vindicated. Brooks (See 3/12/21 telecast) actually referred to the segment as ‘Brooks and Shields’. Capehart’s response was gracious. I’m starting to think of it as the C and B segment. (Speaking of which, has anyone else noticed that Brooks seems to be suffering from early Parkinson symptoms-can’t seem to sit still.)

I’m feeling slightly less pathetic now. Which may or may not be justified.
